Longing for knowledge – a Korean symbol for inner growth

This work is based on the traditional Korean motif of Chaekgeori, which is deliberately interpreted here as "Longing for Knowledge".

Originating from the culture of the Joseon Dynasty, such images showed books, writing utensils, and valuable objects as symbols of intellectual values. They represented the desire for education, character development, and a fulfilled life.

In this contemporary version, the dragon appears – a symbol of wisdom, creative power, and balance. Unlike in Western understanding, the dragon here is not a threatening creature but an expression of order and spiritual maturity.
