ARTLIA's art prints are produced according to standardized paper and canvas formats.
Depending on the aspect ratio of the original artwork and the chosen format, it may happen that the edges of the image are slightly adjusted to achieve a harmonious overall effect and high print quality.
For canvas prints, the ARTLIA team ensures that the main motif is placed as fully as possible on the front side. The side frame areas are continued in color and style to match the original image.
This is a deliberate and common production step with which the ARTLIA team ensures the aesthetic quality of each artwork.

What do we see in this work of art?
This printed artwork “Downtown in the Rain” shows an elderly gentleman walking through the streets of a large metropolis, dressed in a long dark coat. It seems to be either early evening or morning, because through the high-rise canyons you can dimly see the sky, which glows in a dark blue. In addition to the man, the weather itself is clearly a main character. It's raining cats and dogs and the streets are wet. Through the intense light sources in the mural we see that there must also be a strong wind. Doesn't the man get wet when the umbrella he's holding straight up can barely catch the rain falling from the side? The artwork features strong colors and contrasts. The light sources are bright red or golden yellow, while the surroundings are bathed in dark blue.
Where can this mural hang?
A poster of the artwork “Downtown in the Rain” brings home a wonderful mural that shines with colors, contrasts and dynamism. It's like looking through a window. One could almost fear that it could rain through the window into the apartment at any moment. We particularly recommend this work of art for a living room or a kitchen. The intense colors create an exuberant atmosphere and constantly attract attention.
