Printed on a framed poster with a passepartout, this “Fields of Flowers” mural is an image of a meadow with countless flowers. The horizon line clearly divides the image into two halves. The lower half of the picture shows a field or meadow. Flowers grow there in the most colorful colors, with the color red clearly dominating. Some blue, yellow and orange flowers can be seen occasionally. In the middle of the bottom edge of the picture there is a field path that invites us to stroll through the sea of flowers. It's not hard to imagine the light breeze swaying the flowers and grass. In the center of the image we see a clear horizon. There stands a leaning tree that has defied the winds for countless generations. We cannot see the end of the meadow and so the image creates a feeling of endlessness. The deep blue sky draws the most attention to the curved brush strokes. The latter illustrate the dynamics of the sky and demonstrate the power of the wind blowing across the field. Some white parts of the picture suggest clouds and at the very top we see a hint of yellow. The sun is certainly shining on some clouds here. Overall, the deep blue of the sky creates a cool atmosphere. The red of the flowers also has a blue undertone and therefore contributes to this.
